It’s October, which means the newest Unearthed Arcana is either going to be a trick or treat- and a treat it is! We’re taking a look at a group of Eberron style magic items, where magic is a part of everyday life.
Specifically we have 12 items to take a look at- 2 arcane focuses, 7 common magic items, and 3 Warforged parts. I’ll briefly describe each and give my thoughts on their in-game impact, even if they are understandably light on mechanics. Without further ado, let’s get to it!

We finally hit 10 handfuls of magic items! Of course, we have a few more goodies for you today: a net for hunting mages, a staff that wraps, and a shard that saves! Let’s dive in!
Mage Hunter’s Net
Mage Hunter’s Net functions as a normal net, but any creature restrained within it is also under the effects of an antimagic field that is entirely contained within the net. If the net is not restraining a creature, the antimagic field does not function.
Further, a command word can be said while the Mage Hunter’s Net is over a Medium or smaller creature. This command word turns the net into a metal, doorless cage around the caught creature, retaining the antimagic field ability. The cage’s size is dependent upon the caught creature and will vary accordingly. A different command word changes the cage back into a net.

This is the third installment in a five part series where I take you through my process of creating your own pantheon, from the beginning steps in part one, to a deeper dive about your deities here in part three, and finally a finished example of my Syvega Pantheon in part five.
Part One | Part Two | Part Three | Part Four | Part Five
In part one of this series we laid out the foundation for making a simple pantheon based around different cleric domains that may be present in your game. In part two we added minor deities into the mix as a way to expand your pantheon. Today we look at ways to connect your deities together and how to go about building out their followers. Read More

We’re deep into the year, but we still have more Adventure Seeds for you! This time we have some fun Holiday & Festival seeds.
These are a little different from the norm; in each seed I provide a brief summary of a holiday, festival, or event, and then in most I give a special twist or turn of events turning it into an adventure seed! Of course, you can forgo the hook and celebrate the holiday or make up your own twists. Some of these are loosely based upon real world holidays; see if you can figure out the ones that aren’t immediately obvious!
No assumptions this time other than what is written in each seed, and many if not all can be moved around between settings freely.

A new month, a new Unearthed Arcana. This time around we’re taking a look at some content from Wayfinder’s Guide to Eberron from the Dungeon Master’s Guild, specifically looking at Dragonmarks.
The Dragonmarks are essentially 12 new subraces or variant races for humans, half-elves, half-orcs, halflings, elves, gnomes, and dwarves. Each of the 12 can only be used with a specific race, though they can be boosted with a feat for Greater Dragonmarks, and Aberrant Dragonmarks can be applied to any character at any time, though they come with a cost.
Due to the sheer size of this Unearthed Arcana, I have forgone any extreme number crunching in exchange for bite-sized takes on how I feel they stack up. If I miss something good or bad, please be sure to let me know in the comments!

For better or for worse, Wizards continues to print exclusive Standard-legal cards that can only be obtained by means other than sealed booster packs. On August 28th, the image and translated text of the Guilds of Ravnica Buy-A-Box promo Impervious Greatwurm was leaked to the internet.

In our second-to-last Premodern primer (colorless Artifacts and Lands will be the last one!), we take a look at the multicolored “gold” cards that are legal in Premodern!

We’re almost to the double digits with the 9th installment of A Handful of Magic Items! Today we have portable portals, a ring that gives and takes, and the (potentially cursed) crown of an insane monarch. Let’s dive in!
Gatestone Portal
As an action, a creature holding the Gatestone can target any point within 60 feet of their location and drop the Gatestone onto the ground. At both the chosen point and the current location of the Gatestone a portal opens leading to the other for a duration of 1 minute. The gates can only be entered from one side, show a blurry image of what lies on the other side, and will not transport projectiles or magic targeted through the portal. Creatures attempting to stop halfway through the portal are pushed back out to the side they came from.
The portals closed after 1 minute or until someone picks up the Gatestone. The Gatestone cannot be picked up through the portal as to be retrieved on the other side. Once the Gatestone has been used, it cannot be used again until dawn of the next day.
